The Mountain Will Fall - People and Power

A few months before I moved to Salone, there was a mudslide that killed over 1000 people.  Although the heavier rainfall they experienced last year certainly has something to do with climate change, there were many reasons for the mudslide that went deeper than climate change.  Al Jazeera released a documentary this week about those factors that led to the tragedy back in August.

I share this hoping that it will drive home once more how crucial integrity is in leadership for a just and compassionate society.  Every day I pray for integrity...in myself, in my church leaders, and in my politicians, both here and at home in the US.

The documentary is 25 minutes long.  It's worth the time.  And don't worry, I live a ways off from the site of the mudslide site.  I am very safe.
